Investigations

The haunted and historic locations we’ve investigated, each with a brief summary and a link to explore the site in greater detail.

Farnsworth House Inn

Farnsworth House Inn was built in 1810 and served as a civilian home and sharpshooters’ position during the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863, where intense fighting left the building riddled with bullet holes and surrounded by death.

Today it’s considered one of the most haunted inns in the U.S., with guests reporting apparitions of soldiers, children, and a woman named “Tillie,” along with footsteps, whispers, and objects moving on their own.

Pennhurst Asylum

Pennhurst State School and Hospital opened in 1908 as a care facility but became notorious for overcrowding, abuse, and inhumane conditions, leading to a landmark civil-rights lawsuit and its closure in 1987.

Today, the abandoned complex is widely regarded as one of America’s most haunted sites, with frequent reports of voices, apparitions, and unexplained activity linked to its tragic past.
